Our main offering is to provide safe and exciting journeys into the Reisa National Park on our hand-crafted, traditional river boats. Our drivers are very experienced and skilled, and they know the river in and out. We offer standard trips to the Mollis and Imo waterfalls. We also tailor trips based on individual needs. BOATS

Through 100 years of experience the Vangen family has learned the boat-building craft by trial and error. Our boat designs are renowned for their beauty and functionality and provide the best compromise between loading capacity and speed. We use our boats both professionally and for personal use and are perfectly able to recommend our boats to others.

ABOUT US
The Norwegian company Reisaboat AS (Reisabåt AS) was established in the summer of 2018 as a limited liability company by the founder Chris Hugo Vangen. It was transformed from a former sole proprietorship company. This change was a part of the process of professionalising the organisational structure and separate the river guiding and boatbuilding parts from other business ventures owned by the founder. But please don't misunderstand, we have been doing this for a long while!

We all started driving boats in the Reisa river from a very early age, some as early as the age of 5-6 years old.

We spend most days from early May to September/October on the river, either driving customers professionally or to satisfy our own need to catch big salmons. This makes us very capable boat drivers!

Although few of us keep detailed tracks, it's quite likely that our guides' combined total of caught salmon is in the 4 digits. And the tally keeps rising every day throughout the season!

We are located in Svartfoss in the Reisa Valley, a few kilometres from the end of the road and approximately 15 km from the entrance to the national park. From here, we can bring you and your friends to the famous attractions Mollis and Imo waterfalls in a comfortable manner. Svartfoss lies in the municipality of Nordreisa, in Troms County in Norway. Nordreisa lies approximately in the midle of the regions big cities Alta and Tromsø. You can travel to Nordreisa through the local Sørkjosen airport (located 50 km from Svartfoss) or through Tromsø and Alta airports and use daily bus routes to Nordreisa (travel time by bus is around 4 hours).
